Spitfire
The Supermarine Spitfire is arguably the most famous fighter aircraft in history. The Spitfire is symbolic of the Battle of Britain in 1940.

I wanted to build a large scale model of the Mk. IIa version, which was the majority of the Spitfires flown in 1940. I found the Revell 1:32 kit will do that perfectly.
This size makes for a lot of detail and a much easier build (larger parts and no PE!) I am thinking of a display with simulated grass field and a weathered Spitfire.
